Internet Strategy Leader Taps Industry Veteran to Drive New Line of Business; Cost-Effective Service to Produce Measurable Return on Clients Marketing Investment
SCOTTSDALE, AZ - May 6, 2004 - I-ology®, Inc., a leading Internet strategy firm, today announced that it has launched a public relations service line. The new line of business will complement I-ology's existing portfolio of services which include Internet consulting, Web design and interactive development, online marketing, and managed Web site hosting. Designed to help companies communicate their key messages to target audiences with credibility, consistency and differentiation, the service will offer a variety of marketing communication programs, focused primarily around media relations, industry analyst relations and speaker placement campaigns. Spearheading I-ology's public relations line of business is industry veteran David McCann. Prior to joining I-ology, McCann served as director of public relations for the Arizona Technology Council. He is also principal of McCann Communications, a Fountain Hills-based strategic marketing and public relations consulting firm serving both mature and emerging companies. McCann is a seasoned communications professional, with more than 14 years of experience in corporate communications, marketing and management. He has a track record of success in all aspects of corporate and product-related branding and communications, including repositioning, public relations, advertising, direct mail, and events. McCann was formerly the director of press and analyst relations at KnowledgeNet, Inc. a leading provider of e-learning solutions headquartered in Scottsdale. Prior to re-locating to Arizona, McCann held senior marketing positions at a number of technology companies in Silicon Valley, including Sun Microsystems, Inc., Verity, Remedy Corporation, and SmartForce (now SkillSoft). McCann holds a B.A. degree in English from the University of California, Berkeley and a J.D. degree from the Golden Gate University School of Law.
